Charleston House

I am currently in a phase of watching period dramas, my most favourite period being set in the 1920's.  Last week I visited Leeds Castle last owned by Lady Lady Baillie an Anglo-American heiress, landowner and hostess and the week before that I visited my favourite Charleston House lived in by the Bloomsbury Group the name given to a coterie of English writers, philosophers, and artists who frequently met between about 1907 and 1930 at the houses of Clive and Vanessa Bell and of Vanessa's brother and sister Adrian and Virginia Stephen (later Virginia Woolf).  I have saved some photos in this blog post incase you haven't visited the house in West Sussex.
