Join Aimee Richards @missbespokepapercuts and seller via notonthehighstreet on 26th November in our cosy Tudor Lounge at Wattle & Daub for a beginners paper cutting Christmas workshop. The session will begin with a cup of calmness and an introduction to the mindful art of paper cutting before moving onto a template sheet where you will begin to learn the different techniques, moving from easy shapes to more complicated patterns. After an afternoon tea and cake break, you will spend the rest of the session cutting a template specifically selected for the theme of the session. As well as a full kit to take away, you will also have another template to take home to carry on with both of which you can keep to frame or gift to a friend. You don’t need to have any drawing skills to attend this workshop as you will be provided with two beautiful frame-filling templates.
The maximum number of people per session is six and all material are provided – Scalpel, spare pack of blades, a cutting mat and templates-and yours to keep and take home with you as well as refreshments and cake.
The cost of the workshop is £45. To book click here
Wednesday, 6 December / Friday, 8 December / Saturday, 9 December (7-9:30pm)
Joins us for a Winter Wreath Making Workshop. Bex from Botanical Tales will guide you through how to make your own long lasting festive wreath, using a mixture of dried and fresh flowers, seasonal foliage and seed heads. You will work with hand woven bases to construct your own wreath to match your personal style.
Whilst some of the ingredients you use to make your wreath will be fresh, these are carefully selected to ensure they dry out over time and continue to look beautiful hung inside or outside on your front door.
We will begin the evening with a seasonal tipple and mince pies whilst Bex gives a short demonstration on the basics of wreath making. You will then be guided through the process, with Bex lending her support when needed. We will be working in small, intimate groups of no more than eight people in our cosy Tudor Lounge at Wattle & Daub.
