This charming jug was produced in the 1950s by famous French ceramicist Elie Barachant in the small town of St Cannat near Aix-en-Provence. This piece is an example of a signature design of his, a matt grey sandstone base decorated with a brightly coloured enamel design. The jug is fully glazed inside. It is signed on the bottom with St. Cannat Elie Barachant.
