We absolutely love the 'Growing Through the Seasons" calendar by the very talented artist Isla Middleton and her sister Bryony Middleton, Head Gardener at Sharpham Trust in Devon. It is a celebration of seasonal flowers, fruit and vegetables, beautifully illustrated with full page original hand carved multicoloured linocut prints. It makes the most perfect gift for gardeners, allotment growers, vegetable lovers and anyone keen to get started growing their own produce.
Each month includes:
- A full page illustration of seasonal fruit & vegetables. All the prints are from original designs, hand drawn then intricately carved into lino blocks.
- Tips and knowledge for the month, including what to sow and harvest.
- A Growing Chart will feature at the back, with an overview of the sowing and harvest schedule
- Dates for the phases of the moon, bank holidays and seasonal festivals.
The calendar has an organic look and feel, featuring a rich colour palette. The calendars are designed and printed in Devon using eco inks on 100% agricultural waste fibre paper which is warm in tone and has a lovely texture.
