Two rare Mark Valcera studio pottery vases produced in Switzerland in the 1960s. These pieces are very much in the West German style that was popular at the time. Valcera used a sgraffito (scratched) technique to produce a cut-out effect, highlighting accents of turquoise and rust beneath a deep brown matt glaze.
Both pieces bear the maker's mark; the one-handled vase is stamped to the base with Valcera 45 Suisse and the two-handled is signed Valcera Suisse 28.
Both are in excellent condition having neither chips nor cracks.
